Chef Steven Queen began his career in Florida cooking in fine dining restaurants and luxury resorts such as the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables while attending Johnson & Wales university in Miami. Upon Graduation with his B.S. in Culinary Arts Steven moved to Washington D.C. where he worked as a restaurant Chef until moving back into Hotels & Resorts as an Executive Chef for high end hotel companies in the area such as Hilton Worldwide and Omni Hotels & Resorts. Steven uses seasonal local ingredients as the inspiration for his menus that are known for their creativity, artful presentations, and, most importantly, flavor!
Chef Steven has traveled the U.S. as a guest chef at several events including ‘Flavor! Napa Valley’, ’LPGA Shoprite Classic’, and, ‘The Pinehurst 25th Annual Food & Wine Festival’ where he won a local Iron Chef competition held in front of a live audience. Steven has also hosted as well as been a guest Chef at various beer, wine, and farm to fork dinners and looks forward to hosting such events at Kafe Kokopelli in the future.
